Gymnastics Classes
All beginner through advanced level classes for girls and boys ages 6 – 18 years are taught gymnastic skills on the following 4 apparatus: uneven bars, balance beam, air Tumbl Trak and floor. Gymnastics skills and progressions, drills and safety rules are also taught. Development of body control, flexibility, coordination and strength, as well as, proper execution and form of skills are stressed, in a fun and creative environment. Our instructors determine through weekly & bi-weekly evaluations, what level each gymnasts is performing at. Registration for the advanced beginner through advanced class levels are instructor’s approval only.
Beginner Level - Floor Prerequisites: None
Advanced Beg. Level (instructor’s approval only) - Floor Prerequisites: Cartwheel, Hold Bridge with 1 leg in air, Bridge kick over down incline, Backward roll, Hand-On-Wrist Cartwheel
Intermediate Level (instructor’s approval only) - Floor Prerequisites: One-handed cartwheel, Bridge kick over (on the floor), Round-off, Standing back handspring with a spot, Back bend down (alone) and Back up with or without spot.
Advanced Level (instructor’s approval only) - Floor Prerequisites: Back extension roll, Back walkover, Handstand forward roll, Front and Standing Back Handsprings.
Rhythmic Gymnastics- This style of gymnastics focuses on floor tumbling skills while manipulating several different types of apparatus. These types of apparatus can include streamers, balls, hoops, scarves, etc.
Jr Rhythmic (4-7 years old)
SR. Rhythmic (8 years and up)
Acro-Gymnastics – Learn acro-gymnastics stunts (similar to cheerleading stunts). A type of group gymnastics performed in trios and pairs. This is highly recommended for those who are on tumble team.
Tumbling Classes
Tumbling & Mini Tramp - For 6 years & up classes only for boys and girls, beginner through advanced beginner only. Students will learn the proper mechanics of these skills through basic progressions and drills. These drills are designed to help students to build on as they develop body awareness, strength and flexibility. Gymnastics Floor skills prerequisites are the same as gymnastics.
Tumbling for JR/SR High Cheerleaders - This is a great opportunity to work with our professional staff on important tumbling elements for cheerleading. Our program provides a safe and positive environment. Students will learn the proper mechanics of these skills through basic progressions and drills. These drills are designed to help students of various tumbling levels.
